Mission Statement
The Women Foresters Collaborative is an inclusive community of women and gender-nonconforming natural resource students and professionals who tend the forests of the Northeast. We support each other through a safe space for mentorship, building connections, and uplifting underrepresented voices in forestry.
Founded in 2019.
The Women Foresters Collaborative was founded in 2019. Lynn Levine, the first woman consulting forester in the northeast, was chatting with a forestry student at a conference. The student mentioned the struggles she faced as a woman in forestry, sparking an idea for Levine. The Women Foresters Collaborative was born, welcoming women and our gender nonconforming siblings to join in annual gatherings across New England.
